We moved to Naperville in 1984 when AT & T tranferred Fran from Omaha, Nebraska to Oakbrook. Relocating to such a large metropolitan area was very exciting and yet somewhat intimidating but, as time passed, we ultimately embraced everything it had to offer. Being introduced to many different cultures in a very diverse community was a wonderful growth experience. We couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
Over the yers the children attended District 204 and participated in many park district and school activities. Fran recieved his masters degree from Benedictine University while coaching youth soccer and basketball for the park district. Many summer afternoons were spent at Centennial Beach where we completely ejoyed its uniqueness. Our family also became regular attendees of the parades, the Last Fling, and the infamous Ribfest. So many wonderful memories were made here. |
