 | | Laura and Charles Gilmore with Evelyn who is remembered with bell 35, Burt and Barbara Toepp |
The Burton and Barbara Toepp family dedicate bell 35 to granddaughter Evelyn ("Evie") Kelley Gilmore born December 1, 1996 and who died suddenly at age 18 months June 24, 1998 of a virus that infected her heart. At the time of her death she was the only child of Laura Toepp Gilmore (born July 20, 1967) and Charles Gilmore (born July 23, 1967.) On July 22, 1999 Laura and Charlie had twin boys as a gift from God - William Kelley and Charles Burton.
Laura and her three sisters: Lisa Toepp (born June 26, 1959), Julie Gras (born May 17,1961) and Paula Moore (born August 18,1963) were raised in Naperville and graduated from Naperville North High School, as did Charles Gilmore. Paula and Richard Moore have two children - Kathryn Rose (born March 2, 1992) and James Garrett (born June 9, 1994.)
This is written at the beginning of the third millenium in loving celebration of current and future family generations. Our prayer is that all who read this enjoy the sounds of the carillon bells, celebrate life in God, and remember all who have lived before you. We want you to know our joy that you can read this and enjoy the timeless music of the carillon.
As the bells of the carillon ring in joyous harmony, we will remember Evie, a bright, loving, child adored by all who knew her. A bundle of joy wrapped in such a small package. While Evie's life on earth was short, we all feel blessed and fortunate to have had her in our lives.
So let Evie's memory fill your heart with laughter and love.
For she is looking down with joy from heaven above.
