The Ekey family moved to Naperville in 1981 when Glen became the
Executive Director of the Naperville Park District. He has been involved
in numerous community organizations including, Rotary, Boy Scouts, YMCA,
National Ski Patrol, United Way and the Chamber of Commerce. He retired
in 1996 to enjoy skiing, golfing, trap shooting, and traveling. He
continued his community involvement while spending 6 months of the year
at their home in Arizona. The Park District experienced phenomenal
growth from 1981-96 as did the community. The 1981 population of
approximately 45,000 grew to 118,000 in 1996 with 123 parks encompassing
2300 acres and two golf courses.

Marilyn enjoyed volunteering in the community, schools, and Bethany
Lutheran Church where they are members. She also enjoys skiing,
computers, and traveling.

Dave, an Eagle Scout, enjoys skiing, golf, trap shooting and scuba
diving. He is currently a buyer for hunting and fishing equipment at the
K-Mart Corporation headquarters in Hoffman Estates, IL. Dave married
Jennifer (nee Sisung) in 2004. They have two children, Melissa and
Jackson.

Trish enjoys skiing, golf, and outdoor activities. While an avid
competitive swimmer on the Hobson West Swim Team and the Naperville
Central High School Swim Team (co-captain), teaching at Naperville’s
Maplebrook Elementary School and pursuing additional post-graduate
degrees leaves her little free time.
