Playing Clavier

The clavier is a large console with 72 batons and 24 pedals, each mechanically linked to the clappers of the carillon bells. It is made of solid oak and beautifully hand crafted in The Netherlands. The carillonneur sits at the clavier, much like a pianist at a piano, and plays the instrument using fists and feet to hit the batons and pedals in order to play the instrument.
